The Shadows of the Past Trilogy
Episode 8: The Last Jedi Part 6
Lady Saydra and Snoke are then shown having a brief
meeting in the throne room, alone. Not
even Snoke’s guards are there. “Must you
go so soon, My Dear?” asks Snoke
“The Zyn Empire has begun its
invasion, Snoke,” she replies icily. “I
am needed at the Empress’ side.”
“The Empress Amelia is a
competent girl. She can handle matters
without you, I am sure.”
Saydra seems unmoved by his
words. “I know you for what you are,
Snoke,” she replies. “I am probably the
only one left who does. You have seen to
that. You cannot manipulate me as you do
others.”
Snoke smiles wickedly. “To manipulate all things from the shadows,
My Dear, one must remain in the shadows.
I didn’t manipulate Vader, and Dooku, and Sidious and Plageuis, and all
of the other pawns I’ve had over the last century by being in the
spotlight.” He then leans back with a
sigh of contentment. “No. By remaining in the shadows the galaxy has
been my play thing. I have pulled all
the strings. I trust that you will
continue to grant me my anonymity?”
She nods, still unmoved. “You do not need to gloat to me,” she replies
evenly. “I am no longer impressed by
anything. I will keep your secret
safe. However, I would warn you to
remember our deal.”
“I will do my part, My Dear,”
says Snoke, suddenly very serious. “Just
remember to do yours.” He then becomes
pleasant again. “I do so love our little
visits.”
Saydra seems almost to detest
him at that moment, showing a hint of emotion.
“I abhor you,” she comments. “You
are like the living dead.” Then she bows
to him slightly at the waist. “Now if
you will excuse me. I must be
going.” She then exits his throne
room. As she goes, Snoke continues to
eye her with evil delight.
“Oh, My Dear,” he says in low tones
so that she cannot hear. “If only you
knew what plans I have for YOU!” He then
chuckles wickedly under his breath as the doors close and Saydra vanishes from
view.
